Hi! I’m Elizabeth,
When I say I know what you're thinking, it's true because .....
I started my first baby and toddler class business with no blueprint, no business qualifications or knowledge. I was a classically trained musician, Montessori Directress and Corporate Training Manager and I had no idea if it would work but I wanted to change career and earn money by working flexibly around my little family. At its peak, the business I built was running 40 classes a week plus birthday parties.
But this is what I'm most proud of. We have three sons and starting my own business meant I never missed a school play, a nativity or a sports day. I took them to school and picked them up. I stayed home if they were ill. I never worked during school holidays unless I chose to. Not once.
I realised early on that if I wanted to run my baby and toddler classes and be really there, fully present with my family, mentally as well as physically, I needed a system. I needed to create a 'blueprint' that I could rinse and repeat over and over again so that's exactly what I did.
It took me nearly 2 years to get it right so I had classes that worked every single time and I used it to build a business I was genuinely proud of. And then I sold it, a major operation meant it was time to stop twirling and wriggling, and during the recovery that followed I wrote down every single thing I'd learned across two decades in my businesses. Every bright idea. Every mistake. Every shortcut. Every lyric. Every single thing I wish I'd been able to ask someone about at the beginning.
